Who: Fry (LuckoftheFryish)

No specimen available

I have not been able to narrow these down to a species yet. I am sure it is in the genus Psilocybe, probably section Deconica. hopefully i will have some lab time soon to see the microscopic features and do some chemical tests. So for lack of a better name, and until it is proven otherwise, I will call this mushroom Psilocybe fry / Deconica fry.

Psilocybe sp. Fry isn’t an appropriate way to dub it “Psilocybe fry”.

Psilocybe is a genus that already has multiple authority names attached to it: (Fr.) P. Kumm.

The way it is structured on the observation right now implies that ‘Fry’ described the entire genus.

A better way to give this a provisional name (which is really not merited until more effort is applied to reaching an ID) is to call it Deconica sp., and in the comments call it “fry”.
