No specimen available

About a week ago I observed many newly emerging G. tsugae at Rickett’s Glen SP. Went back today and saw not a single mature specimen. They have apparently all been eaten by the beetles seen in the thumbnail photo. Other photo shows white remains of stipe bases on a hemlock where I spocifically know there had been several Ganodermas.

I’m thinking “heros”, based upon the shape of the black part just behind the head.

look like Megalodacne fasciata or M. heros They love the young Ganoderma.
