Have found huge carpets of R. rasilispora in this same canopy at earlier times in the year(when Trillium sp. are still in bloom) this old friend was literally perforated to feather weight by all the larva activity within. Felt like dehydrated cornbread when I went to pick it up unfortunately.
Good collection time for this species in my experience is in April and early May.
