Very early for C. lateritius to occur in my area. Generally, they follow the cibarius type by a week or more. Need to check my cibarius spot soon!

Recognized by sight: This oaky area traditionally produces Smooth Chanterelles only. So the only reason why I didn’t propose “I’d call it that” is because I didn’t pluck this little one to see the underside.
