case of dueling epithets. When I proposed this name for this fungus, consensus rejected it in favor of T. nigripes because, I assume, Index Fungorum didn’t recognize it. However, just because IF doesn’t list it doesn’t mean it’s not correct. They are sometimes slow to update names. Is there a real controversy here or just an out of date authority?
