This definitely looks atypical for Tubifera ferruginosa, and Enteridium splendens seems like a fine name, too. These are all on the same wet very well rotted log. MO lists several varieties of T. ferruginosa. The commentary on Tubifera ferruginosa (Batsch) Gmelin (7716) is interesting, but hard to resolve without more references than I have and a microscope. Last photo shows white ribbon-like fibers (hypothallus?) beneath a crust of cylindrical sporangia.
