Observation 70362: Boletus

No specimen available

This lone specimen was indeed a surprise. As you can see by the spectacles lying beside it, this behemoth bolete was a vibrant red, with yellow pores, and blue-green staining. I found it in a moist eucalyptus forest, but have not been able to find anything close to an ID.
