..collection Noah, the specimens look quite similar to my two collections which we first suspected were that species but there are some differences in spore shape, size and ornamentation and there are also some differences in the alkaline reactions and to top it off my collections are from Kunzea ericoides forest not Nothofagus forest, my specimens have many characteristics in common with C. austrocinnabarinus.
With your collection did you notice the pigment would easily rub off and stain the fingers or anything it came into contact with?
