Fruiting beneath a small maple tree in the grass. Stranger smell- nutty and somewhat soapy. Not sure yet which Russula this could be…?

Temp: low 70’s, light rain, overcast.

seems correct after visiting a few other sources online. Definitely one of the strangest smelling mushrooms I’ve come across- like a burnt, nutty, sweet soapy smell to me… I guess I’ve never really bothered analyzing Russula sp. as intently as these today- :)
