Observation 7166: Amanita pantherina sensu auct. amer.

When: 2008-03-21

Collection location: Menlo Park, California, USA [Click for map]

Who: Douglas Smith (douglas)

Specimen available

Notes:
Not sure on this one, is it a A. pantherina? Gots the scattered remnants on the cap, and the partial veil. But I would think it is kinda late in the season for this one. And its got a funny second ring above the volva.

I popped it in the drier, if it is interesting and some detail needs to be looked at.
