I don’t think the ascus is dextrinoid, that is just the color of the thing. I saw this too in obs. 6767, the asci are deeply pigmented, until the spores mature, and then they are clear. The paraphases weren’t pigmented, and the color of the fertile surface is brown, so I think this color comes from the asci.

Of course, it is true, I didn’t compare the asci in KOH, but still the brown has to come from somewhere.
