Original specimen description: Spores (6) 7-9 (10) X (4)5 µm, ± smooth or finely verrucose. Cap to 3.5 cm, fibrillose, silky reddish brown, KOH on surface red. Stipe 3.5 X 0.3 cm, apex orange from base up, dark, fibrillose. Gills orange first, later reddish brown. In gill’s trauma and edge yellow, highly retractive elements, similar to chrysocystidia, were very common (in water mounted). After KOH was added, yellow pigment dissolved and those elements lost their brightness.
