… was pale brown. I did not had the reagents with me, so I was unable to perform the spot tests. I also think that P. subrudecta is the most reasonable choice. Thanks, Jason.

Are we sure this doesn’t have usnic acid? It sure looks like it doesn’t, but cameras can play tricks sometimes… (I’m just keeping Flavopunctelia open.)

If underside is pale to brown, then P. subrudecta. If black then (in North America_) there are a few others, including P. reddenda (C- medulla) and P. borreri (C+r medulla), F. flaventior (usnic acid).
