Bright red cap, bright red stipe, yellow pore surface, rather quickly bruising to blue-grey, curry aroma.

Identified here by me as bi-color, later I scraped pores, gave the sniff test, and changed the label. As provided late on Saturday, it was not identified.

read the actual description of B. sensibilis in the big bolete book and take a look at all the observation here on MO for B. sensibilis, and I bet you will easily convince yourself to change the label again… to just Boletus sp. :-) I doubt what you got here is B. sensibilis based on the stipe coloration — most of the stipe is solidly “painted” red, though the intensity of the color is receding toward the apex. This bolete of yours looks very familiar as I have seen it, and many variations on its theme, here in NJ enough times to start kicking it with my foot due to the frustration of being unable to ID it.
