That’s a good point. I guess a next-higher level would be something like ‘Extensively Verified’ – no indications against an ID after consulting with experts, and micro or DNA back-up.

shows why “I’d call it that” is a good name for the high prob MO rating… as opposed to maybe “that’s what it is.” What one presently calls some mushroom is always subject to change.

call things ‘Promising’, because with our level of knowledge about mushrooms, I think there is always room for uncertainty.

But yeah, the color was really cool. I was helped out by leaf-filtered light. Later shots failed to show the green.

I’m guessing that the confidence level was posted at “promising” due to the sparseness of the “potholes”… and perhaps the brightness of the green.
