Observation 74683: Amanita phalloides (Vaill. ex Fr.) Link

Ground quite dry, season long over, but one very large and fully opened fruit body seen under oak, another, larger button kicked up by someone or something, and this small button taken with me to photograph.

Recognized by sight: smallest of three fruit bodies seen, about as big as a quarter. older specimens showed typical phalloides aspect: greenish cap, white stipe and annulus, bulbous base with membranous volva.
Based on chemical features: foul phalloides odor.
