color of cap is extremely variable even within species in amanita. the stature of the mushroom, the volva and the adherant quality of the universal veil, as well as the timing and location are a match for what we currently know about aprica.

Not quite that yellow

The cap on this species is not nearly as yellow as the cap from Amanita aprica. I found one of that species too this weekend. This ones cap more of a light pea green color and was extremely common under pine.
