weird stalked fungus, probably most closely related to Rhodotus palmatus and Xerula. but no gills! See Dentinger, Bryn T.M. & David J. McLaughlin . Reconstructing the Clavariaceae using nuclear large subunit rDNA sequences and a new genus segregated from Clavaria Mycologia, 98(5), 2006, pp. 746-762.
