And now an even less interesting observation, of a random Agaricus. If these everyday things aren’t very interesting tell me, and I’ll stick to better stuff, I’m just putting this down to get used using the site.

This was just a single ’shroom popped up under a redwood. The base and edges of the ’shroom turned bright yellow right after picking, and had a strong phenolic odor. But the yellow had completely faded away before I got it to the camera.

Ok, sounds like a plan, I’ll note the common stuff as I can. Question about photos, should I keep posting photos of common stuff as well? I don’t know how much storage you got, and I take a lot of photos…

Obviously we all love to hear about the new or unusual, but keep track of common species can also be very interesting. I’m hoping that we’ll start to see patterns in the common species as we get more data.
