Observation 76884: Boletus edulis Bull.

When: 2011-09-21

Collection location: Akron, Ohio, USA [Click for map]

Who: clevshroom

No specimen available

Notes:
Found many pounds of these today in an old planted Norway spruce grove. Found specimens all had white pore surface and older had yellow. Stipe all equal to enlarged. Firmness compared to Colorado Edulis. My only question is the sliminess of the cap, however I can’t find any Suillus that match this mushroom. Spore printing right now.
