Observation 79449: Mycena strobilinoidea Peck

Under hand lens, gill edges are red. Small hairs at the bottom of the stem in some. Need to do microscopy.

Usually when spores are mounted in Melzers the background is yellowish, but maybe you set the custom white balance, which is a really good idea when taking micrographs of mushrooms mounted in melzers.

The spores were mounted in Melzers. Sorry I didn’t make it clear.

Added three photos from which some measurements can be read. Everything fits the description, except that the spores (6.5-8 × 5.5-6) are a bit wider.

The description has “strongly amyloid spores”—-at odds with this observation.
