Observation 7986: Mucorales (Fr.)

Notes:
photo shows an unknown mushroom (guess, Mycena)whose cap is being eaten by a Zygomycete, similar to Rhizopus. Many mushrooms are attacked by other fungi who use them for food. So we are looking at two diffferent fungi here, the fuzzy Zygomycete eating a typical Basidiomycete mushroom.(courteousy:-D.Desjarden/B.Perry)

Spinellus fusiger which often grows on Mycena and Gymnopus species…
