Apologies about the quality of the photo. These were small, no more than 6-7cm tall, with a hollow stipe. Pileus 2.5-3cm in diameter. If rubrotinctoides is amongst the larger of the group, I’d say this isn’t it.

The group of these ubiquitous (in California) early Leucoagaricus species with pink, orangy, reddish, brownish rather smooth caps is still a nightmare and not sorted out, with most species in it nameless. The exception is L. rubrotinctoides, which is the biggest one of this group around with a dark orange-brown centre. From the photo i cannot judge the colours of the caps well.
