Frost in Toluca

Nevado de Toluca is the coldest place in Mexico that I regularly visit. When I go I wear all of my clothes at the same time. It is common to find mushrooms that are covered in frost in the morning, and by mid day they appear to be perfectly healthy.

Even the mention of Toluca causes my friends to dig through their closets for anything vaguely warm.

Imagine that!

And this is a species that doesn’t fruit in Scandinavia until the frost has arrived. Is there ever any frost in Toluca?
