Collection location: Tualatin Hills Nature Park, Beaverton, Washington Co., Oregon, USA [Click for map]
Found in Tualatin Hills Nature Park (mixed forest), growing in humus.
No odor noticed.
Stem hollow, breaks easily.
Spores 5-6.5 × 3-3.5 microns, which is smaller than described in monographs by Robich and Maas Geesteranus, but fits the range given in Arora’s MD.
Since the cap is dark violet and gills light violet, it could be M. pura f. violacea, per Maas Geesteranus.
