It has been chewed on by something, and it is growing out of soil and rocks. The purple gleba (cream color turning purple with maturity) and the rooted pseudostipe points me in the direction of wanting to call this Calvatia fragilis or Calvatia cyathiformis f. fragilis. However, microscopy needs to be done on this to be for certain.
