Notes:
A couple of bright orange/brown mushrooms growing on wood at base of an alder tree. Concentrating on largest specimen: cap 11 cm across, tawny brown with radial wrinkles, flattish-convex with ragged lighter margin. Yellow-brown decurrent gills with some fine cuts in them. Tawny bent stem 9 cm long, 2 cm diameter lighter at top, darker and wider at base with a small ring. Rust-coloured spore print. Spores ovoid/lemon-shaped, dextrinoid and finely roughened, 8-10 × 5-6 microns.
