I was not pleased with your suggestion of M. siccus because I believe I have identified it here and in other places as being smaller – much smaller. Not on reviewing in the manuals I have to agree. It is M. siccus until proven otherwise!


Camera is the Canon SX-130is (about $200), see my summary page. It focuses to 1 cm , but wastes a lot of lens power on the telephoto end. Look one level up in the Canon line at the s-100…? I am not sure of the name, but it is a truly pocket sized camera for about twice the price.
