I’ve not known any Cymatoderma to be so imbricate. Do you have any photos that demonstrate this habit?

In Australia there is the very frequent C. elegans. It looks exactly like this. Maybe it occurs in South America too for some mushrooms reach from South Africa to Australia to South America within the stretch that was once Gondwana land.
