Recognized by sight: This mushroom was found on a ledge bank above the road on a foray that Italian mycologist, Silvano Pizzardo organized with Ennio Giusti and Albert Casiero. Local area mycologist, Anna Maria Marini, identified this mushroom as Volvariella pusilla in the field. After the foray the ID was confirmed by Silvano Pizzardo, “Coordinator pro tempore” of the Federation Veneti (Mycology) Groups.
