Notes:
Group of older mushrooms found in forest clearing…umbonate brown cap, 10+ cm across, with darker umbo and scales/fibres. Stipe smooth and enlarged toward base, with prominent ring. Didn’t disturb them to check for bulb. Immature mushroom found a few feet away (assuming it’s the same species). The young one had white flesh and reddish-brown scales.
