Found fruiting in a group in a well-watered lawn. When first found the pileus bruised bright yellow instantly and then faded. Several days later the bruising was still instant, much darker and lingered longer. Stipe yellowed non-dramatically when cut and smelled of phenol. Pileus slightly inrolled, fibrous and scaling. Annulus skirt-like. Pileus 7.2 cm across. 9 cm tall.
