Another pale brownish porphyria candidate. I think the “porphyria group” should be investigated in the U.S. I’ve seen at least four different colored taxa referred to porphyria (three in the east and three in the west, two possibly overlapping). The Mt. Pisgah material looks rather similar to the material from the Island of Newfoundland that I’ve collected. Looks like an interesting puzzle for someone… Takers?
