collected it on the Oregon coast. But it could be found inland. The fact is that where it has been found and where it is may to be found are two different things entirely, While I did observe this at the Mt. Pisquah show (near Eugene), it could have been brought into the show from almost anywhere in Oregon. Mushroom hunters from many areas bring in their finds to be identified at this show.

I’d like to question the sign, I just found it in Roseburg this February, see my observation here http://mushroomobserver.org/199620, and I have read that there is uncertainty about limits of its location.
