Observation 9415: Tremella mesenterica Retz.

When: 2003-01-18

Seen at: Clackamas Co., Oregon, USA [Click for map]

Who: Daniel B. Wheeler (Tuberale)

No specimen available

Notes:
In 2001 I inoculated several cut Douglas fir stumps at Paul Bishop’s with Laetiporus sulphureus. Nothing grew of it. However, I did have a very strong fruiting of this fungus, Tremella mesenterica. As shown in the photos, when it gets some light on it, it really does glow!
