I’ve been eating this for a couple of years now. Not bad, but the stems are not really worth the effort. Just make sure about the debris at the base of the stem for your identification.


Seen from directly above, looking into the lawn.
Gill attachment to stipe.
Cap free of lawn.
Grass and moss mower debris attached to base of stipe.
Unusual split stipe. Fungus may have been damaged by lawn mowing.
