Observation 9826: Agaricus californicus Peck

Found in lawn. Pileus fibrillose with brown scales at apex fading to tan then off-white. Shiny. 4 cm across. Gills only partially visible. Pink. Stipe has some scaling at apex, slightly bulbous at base which turns faintly yellow when rubbed. No distinctive odor. 1.3 cm at apex. Annulus very thin and lace-like with skirt-like structure. Total height 7 cm.
