Substrate: Ponderosa Pine branch fallen from canopy; entangled with Hypogymnia physoides.
Habitat: P. ponderosa grove alongside wetland and shortgrass mima mound prairie.
Description: tiny, branches 1.5-2cm long, uneven, thick and flat near base. Short lateral pointy branches common. Abundant apothecia with isidia-like structures around margins of apothecia. Thallus and apothecia green when wet, both are brownish-brown-red when dry.
