Observation 9931: Sarcodon imbricatus (L.) P. Karst.

Photographed at the 2002 Oregon Mycological Society’s Fall Mushroom Show, World Forestry Center, Portland, Multnomah Co., OR. NOTE: the herbarium tag says 2001, but the year was 2002. NOTE: the coarse banded scales on the top of the mushroom resembling turkey tail feathers. Previously known as Hydnum imbricatum.
