I wonder if you’re seeing hypothallus (white) and soredia (green). You’ve seen Lendemer’s paper on the terminology of Lepraria, right? I seem to remember that the very term “soredia” isn’t exactly appropriate for Lepraria. But certainly the thicker species of Lepraria have differentiation of hyphae, and maybe this is what you are seeing?

Under the microscope, it looks like there are white and green-yellow soredia, all mixed up and all over each other, but sometimes in distinctive patches.

There are Lepraria with usnic acid or xanthones

The most common and widespread seems to be L. ecorticata. If you could demonstrate any discrete soralia (maybe around the margins of one of the colonies?), or if the marginal lobe-like structures are actually corticate, then you could rule out Lepraria. But I can’t find any smoking gun in these photos. See, for example, Biatora chrysantha (are there any photos on-line? if not, see this one). It’s similar, no question, but even fairly leprose non-Lepraria usually have distinctly clumped soredia like this photo.

This Lepraria (or whatever it is) usually stands out for its yellowish-greenish color, versus many other Lepraria that have white-green or green-blue tint. In fact, some of these photos have that “real” Lepraria next to the main character, so one can compare the color difference.
