Collection location: Wilson River Highway, Tillamook Co. and Washington Co., Oregon, USA [Click for map]
The first photo is taken in Pacific Univ. Arboretum, but I was finding these mushrooms “everywhere” along highways 26 and 6 on Saturday and Sunday.
The taste was some kind of “hot”, not really strong, but it left an impression on the tongue that lasted for (say) five minutes.
Spores typically 9-10 × 4 microns. Cheilocystidia abundant, up to 100 microns long.
