Notes: “Resup Boot Camp” is the tongue-in-cheek name we give to a mid-winter/early spring week of collecting, keying and posting resupinate fungi. A amateur mycologist spends the week at Bill Sheehan and Jennie Alvernaz’s home bordering on 400 acres of upland woods in the Georgia Piedmont, called Tallassee Highlands (Clarke County). All identified specimens are posted on Mushroom Observer (this list).2018 & 2019 – Django Grootmyers was Mycologist-in-Residence during the first two years, in February 2018 and March 2019. We collected and identified via microscopy (mainly Django) some 50 species in 12 orders.
2020 – Maricel Patino was Mycologist-in-Residence the first week of March 2020. Check back: we are still processing specimens…
Dear Bill and Django, thanks for sharing your finds. I learned few names this time!
