When: 2008-06-02
Observations: 430
Notes: Here are mushrooms from the Sierra mountains in the spring months. This list is a mixture of observations from different areas in the Sierra Nevada mountains, seen between early May to early June.
The areas represented in this list are: Pipi valley campground, south of Placerville and on the border between El Dorado and Amador counties; SFSU Field Station, Bassets, in the Yuba Pass region; and eastern Shasta National Forest near McCloud, east of Shasta Peak.
The photos from the SFSU field campus were taken as part of the mycology course “Spring Fungi of the Sierra Nevada”, taught by Dr. D. Desjardin. More info on this course can be found at SFSU.
